Sobre Mañeru

Heritage

This urban nucleus, route of the Camino de Santiago, has a large number of heraldic buildings, some of which are very beautiful. The Parish of San Pedro Apostol, along with its altarpieces, carvings, and relics, constitutes a set worthy of contemplation. Outside the urban nucleus, and on a hill, is located the Hermitage of Santa Bárbara, a place that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the municipality and its surroundings.

Celebrations

Mañeru celebrates two main festive cycles throughout the year: the San Pedro patronal festivals at the end of June and the big festivals at the beginning of September. Both events stand out for their great popular atmosphere, music, and devotion, and are organized around their square. [1]

Gastronomy

In its winery, red, rosé, and white wines are produced. Between 1981 and 1989, these wines received thirteen awards at the Quality Wine Competition organized by the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin of Navarra.

We must highlight that 10 of the awards were first prizes, one second, and two honorable mentions. The entire annual wine production is sold at the winery either in bulk or bottled.
