Heritage
The heritage of Murieta combines historical, religious elements and outdoor cultural spaces. It highlights the old Vasco Navarro Railway Station, a building from 1925 that today houses the town hall and remembers the passage of the railway through the locality, alongside the Parish Church of San Esteban, a temple of proto-Gothic origin from the 13th century reformed in the Baroque period, which preserves valuable architectural and artistic elements. Completing this legacy are the Cemetery Chapel, which holds a 17th-century Term Cross, the parks of Ezpeldoia and Estelares, with leisure areas and the Sculpture Walk, and the Calera de Murieta, an ethnographic monument that pays tribute to the ancient profession of lime workers and the rural tradition of the municipality.
