Alba de Tormes

• Basilica of Saint Teresa of Jesus: Monumental temple dedicated to the Saint, built to house her relics. It is one of the great Teresian sites in the world.
• Monastery of the Annunciation (Carmelite Mothers): Saint Teresa died here in 1582, and her relics are preserved in an adjoining museum. It is the spiritual heart of the municipality.

Gastronomy in Alba de Tormes reflects traditional Salmantine cuisine. Typical dishes include hornazo, Iberian sausages, and stews such as calderillo. Pastry highlights include perrunillas, rosquillas, and conventual sweets made by the Carmelites. The town is also known for its baking tradition and use of local products.
