Heritage
Orusco de Tajuña has a valuable natural heritage shaped by the Tajuña River plain, the groves of poplars, willows and tamarisks, the natural areas of Bellaescusa, the singular fig tree of Bellaescusa, the Merino and Blu crags, and the Tajuña Greenway, which runs through the surroundings among bridges and wooded areas. Its architectural heritage includes the Church of San Juan Evangelista from the 17th century, the Hermitage of Bellaescusa from the 13th century, the former convent-cloister of Bellaescusa, the Snow Well, and the popular architecture of whitewashed houses that define the traditional image of the municipality.
