Sobre Tiurana

Heritage

Tiurana preserves the memory of its ancient population through various heritage elements transferred, located around the Virgin of Solés. The porticos of the main street, the facade of the church of Saint Peter Apostle, a medieval sarcophagus, historical tombstones, the Arab well, monumental crosses, and ancient portals of the town stand out.

The heritage is completed with the Museum of Ancient Trades, the hermitage of the Virgin of Solés, the Romanesque church of Saint Ermengol, and the remains of the tower of the Moor, which form a historical, religious, and archaeological ensemble of great value.

Celebrations

In addition to the more traditional ones, different parties and events are organized in Tiurana, such as the aeronautical concentration, where attendees can rent ultralight flights to enjoy the landscape from a bird's eye view; the Moonlight Walk, which takes place every August; the Story Festival, which invites both young and old to participate in activities related to the world of storytelling; the Chili and Bean Fair, organized to offer tasting and sale of the products that give it its name; and the Motorcycle Meeting, which takes place annually.

Gastronomy

The gastronomy of Tiurana is based on the traditional cuisine of the interior of Lleida, with dishes made from local products and recipes of rural origin. Meats, artisan sausages, stews, and spoon dishes stand out, along with products from the garden and the natural environment.

The festivals and popular celebrations keep culinary traditions alive, where homemade cooking and authentic flavors are an essential part of the municipality's identity.
