Important notice: There is a section of secondary road where traffic is shared with other vehicles.

Circular route, which we cover for almost 11 kilometers, with a total positive elevation gain of just over 500 meters. At the highest point, we will find ourselves at 1525 meters above sea level.

We start next to the medieval cistern, located at the exit of the village towards Los Cerezos. We head towards the Medio ravine, where we begin the ascent along a path that was opened during the Civil War. The first 3.5 kilometers are on a constant ascent, although they can be done without problems as we travel through comfortable terrain.

From here, we begin a descent, cross the road to Los Cerezos, and start another ascent (this one shorter), up to the hermitage of Santa Margarita (km 5.5).

The hermitage, built in the 13th century, of white quartz stone, is located in a beautiful setting, where we stop to regain strength before embarking on the return journey to Abejuela.

During the next 800 meters, we will continue on a slight ascent along the track. The last 4 kilometers will be downhill, first along the track and then along the path. During this stretch, we will pass by several corrals and enjoy fabulous panoramic views of the surroundings and Abejuela.

Trailing sabinas and albares, extensive pine forests, junipers, aromatic plants (thyme, rosemary, and wild chamomiles) and all the tranquility in the world will accompany us during this pleasant walk around Abejuela. Don't miss it!
