During the route, you can enjoy the natural environment of the Laguna de El Hito, a Manchego wetland declared a Natural Reserve, known for its great richness in birds and its unique landscape of seasonal lagoon.
The destination of the route is Almonacid del Marquesado, a locality known for one of the most unique traditions in the province of Cuenca: La Endiablada. This celebration, declared a Regional Tourist Interest Festival, brings together every year the so-called “endiablados,” characters dressed in colorful costumes and large cowbells who roam the village making their characteristic noise. It is a spectacular festival full of music, tradition, and popular participation.
After visiting the village and learning about this unique tradition, the route returns along the same path to El Hito, allowing you to continue enjoying the Manchego landscape at a leisurely pace.
