Easy and family-friendly route designed for a pleasant walk from the town of Gallocanta to the village of Berrueco, enjoying in both the project “canvases of nature.” The route starts from the visitor center in Gallocanta, following comfortable paths parallel to the edge of the nature reserve until we channel a slight ascent that will take us among holm oaks and cereal fields to the beautiful village of Berrueco. There, after strolling through its streets and enjoying the murals, we will return on a comfortable descent to the place known as “Fuente de los haces,” where we can regain strength in the shade of its trees. From here, and returning towards Gallocanta, we will enjoy the panoramas that the route offers us, always close to the Gallocanta Lagoon.

Aspects to consider: the lagoon is an endorheic wetland that is fed by the streams and ravines that drain into it. Some of the paths pass through floodable areas, so special attention should be paid to the condition of these areas after episodes of heavy rain.
