About this route

This circular route starts from San Martín de Valdeiglesias and traverses some of the most representative landscapes of the Sierra Oeste, combining nature and very pleasant sections for riding.

The route delves into an environment of pine forests and oak groves, alternating forest tracks, rural paths, and quiet sections that allow for comfortable enjoyment of the landscape. Along the route, shaded areas are interspersed with more open spaces, offering wide views of the mountainous surroundings.

One of the most notable points is Playa del Muro, in the San Juan Reservoir, one of the most well-known areas of the dam, where the water becomes the protagonist of the landscape and provides an ideal setting for a break.

It is a perfect route for those seeking nature, water, and tranquility, with the recommendation to carry sufficient hydration and pay attention to some sections of the track that may have uneven surfaces.

Types of paths:

  • Trail: 11.3 km
  • Street: 2.94 km
  • Road: 1.80 km
