Moderate About this route
Desde Belmonte, the route heads north through rural roads, offering views of the vineyard fields and the vast La Mancha plateau. This part of the journey is quiet and allows you to enjoy the outdoors and nature.
Rada de Haro is a small municipality where you can enjoy the peace of the Manchego countryside, with its church and its traditional houses. From Rada de Haro, you continue along a very little-traveled regional road to Villaescusa de Haro, a small town in Cuenca of significant historical and monumental importance.
Known as the Town of the Bishops, for having been the birthplace of more than a dozen bishops between the 15th and 17th centuries, it preserves important historical monuments, among which stands out its collegiate church of San Pedro Apostle, from the 16th century. From Villaescusa, we return to Belmonte making a stop at the mills of Belmonte. An ideal place to see the landscape and observe Belmonte and its imposing castle.
This route is not only attractive for its landscapes and tranquility but also for the historical and cultural richness of the towns it connects. It is an excellent way to experience the authenticity of La Mancha from the bicycle.
