Easy About this route
The route departs from Fuendetodos, a locality known for being the birthplace of Francisco de Goya, and soon leaves the urban area to enter the characteristic open landscape of the Campo de Belchite.
As soon as we leave the village, the route takes rural paths that cross fields and areas of low scrub. The terrain is wide and clear, allowing for great panoramic views of the steppe landscape, with gentle hills, ravines, and agricultural expanses that change color with the seasons.
As we progress, the path approaches the area of Sierra Gorda, a gentle but elevated relief from which beautiful views of the surroundings can be obtained. The surface is generally comfortable and rolling, alternating dirt tracks with some rockier sections, but always bikeable.
During the journey, it is common to find Mediterranean vegetation adapted to the dry climate, such as rosemary, thyme, or esparto, which scent the air especially in spring. The tranquility of the surroundings and the expansiveness of the landscape make this route an ideal experience to enjoy silence and nature.
The itinerary continues traversing the mountain range and its surroundings before returning again to Fuendetodos, where the route ends after discovering one of the most authentic and open landscapes in the interior of Aragón.
