This round trip travels through the countryside of Córdoba from Villafranca de Córdoba to the San Rafael de Navallana reservoir, following rural roads and agricultural tracks that run through the fertile surroundings of the Guadamellato River.

It was built in the 20th century, during the Spanish Civil War, and is located on the road from Alcolea to Villafranca de Córdoba, in the province of Córdoba, about two kilometers past the ruins of the Arab castle of Kant-Hisn, practically at the municipal limit between Córdoba and Villafranca.

It was dated as property in the 15th century, belonging to the Dukes of Infantado. It is from the caliphal period, from the 11th century, riverside, as it overlooks the river and a wide horizon. There is data about it since the conquest by Ferdinand III in 1239, who ordered its repopulation, along with other castles. It is noted in some texts that in 1249 Ferdinand III ceded it to the Order of Jerusalem.

It is a traditional spring located in the rural environment of Alcolea. Situated next to agricultural paths, it is a common stopping point for farmers and walkers, and today it constitutes an ideal place for a brief stop, to refresh and enjoy the agricultural landscape that surrounds the area.
