Heritage

The heritage of Valdelaguna reflects a rich historical past that dates back to the Middle Ages and materializes in prominent points of interest such as the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, the main monumental landmark of the municipality, the House of the Priest and the Big House, historically linked to Manuel Godoy and today related to the wine tradition through the Wine Museum, as well as a valuable ethnographic set formed by the Wine Press, the Empiedro Mill and the Washhouses, which are complemented by landscape spaces such as the Huevera Viewpoint and the natural routes of the Vega and the springs, where landscape, history, and popular tradition come together.

Celebrations

The main festivities of Valdelaguna revolve around its religious and popular traditions, highlighting the celebrations in honor of Santo Toribio, the patron saint of the municipality, which take place in April, and the summer festivities in August, with street parties, cultural activities, and neighborhood gatherings, in addition to the celebration of the Virgin of Carmen, which keeps local devotion and the festive atmosphere of the town alive.
