The heritage of El Viso stands out for the Castillo del Madroñiz, a medieval fortress located in a strategic site next to the Zújar River, and for a remarkable religious complex, with the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation and numerous hermitages scattered throughout the municipality. This legacy is completed by the air raid shelter from the Civil War, which testifies to the most recent history of the region of Los Pedroches.
The most unique celebration is the Auto de los Reyes Magos, a theatrical representation declared Festival of Tourist Interest of Andalusia, which is held every four years and is a hallmark of the municipality. The fiestas de Santa Ana at the end of July also stand out, with the traditional bull runs, alongside popular celebrations such as Candelaria, Carnival, Holy Week, and various festivals throughout the year.
The cuisine of El Viso, like that of Los Pedroches, is simple, natural, and of great quality, based on local products and mountain traditions. Dishes such as migas, cochifrito, lamb stew, and filling stand out, along with a rich homemade pastry. The Iberian pig and the products from the slaughter —chorizos, salchichones, hams— are the foundation of an authentic and highly valued cuisine.
