Heritage
Lanjarón preserves a rich historical and cultural heritage linked to its old town and its Andalusian identity. The Church of the Incarnation, the traditional niches, the urban sculptures dedicated to the history and traditions of the village, and a set of charming squares stand out, such as Placeta Colorá, Plaza de la Constitución, Plaza del Chato, Plaza Juanito Valderrama, and Plaza de Santa Ana.
The network of streets, squares, and traditional architectural elements forms a unique urban landscape that reflects the history and character of Lanjarón.
Lanjarón stands out for its natural environment of great value in the foothills of Sierra Nevada. Its high mountain lagoons, such as Laguna de Bolaños, Laguna de Nájera, Laguna del Caballo, and Laguna del Lavadero de la Reina, located in glacial origin landscapes, are particularly notable.
The municipality also has unique spaces such as Parque del Salao, the impressive reliefs of Tajo Colorado, and the geological formations of the travertines of the river valley, which create a diverse and spectacular landscape, ideal for hiking and nature tourism.
