Heritage

The Parish Church of Our Lady of the Assumption (16th century), the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María la Real de Valdeiglesias (Romanesque-Mudéjar, late 12th-early 13th century), the New Town Hall (1992) with a stone fountain and historical pillory, and the prehistoric paintings on granite boulders in the area of La Enfermería.

Celebrations

The Living Nativity (January 5), the celebrations in honor of Saint Blaise (late January-early February) and the Virgin of Candelaria (February 2), along with the Carnivals, stand out. In spring, the Pilgrimage of Saint Blaise (May) is celebrated, and in summer the Tourist Day and the Cultural Week (August). The patron saint festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption take place from August 14 to 17, closing the season with the popular caldereta on the last Sunday of August.

Gastronomy

The traditional Castilian dishes stand out, especially stews and game meats. The pastry includes typical homemade sweets from the region, and in the local bars and restaurants, you can taste tapas and portions accompanied by wines and spirits from the area.
